DC = Double Crochet
CH= chain
SC= Single Crochet
1st Round: Ch 4, slip stitch to first chain to form a circle
2nd Round: Ch 2, 3 dc in each space (4 spaces) 12 stitches total. Slip Stitch at the end of the round
3rd Round: Ch 2 (dc 2 times in first stitch, dc 1) repeat all the way around (2 dc, dc 1), slip stitch to finish the round. 18 Stitches total.
4th Round: ch 2 (dc 2 times in first stitch, dc 2), repeat (2 dc, dc 2) slip stitch to finish round, 24 stitches total.
5th round: ch2 (dc 2 times in first stitch, dc 3) repeat (2 dc, dc 3) slip stitch to finish round, 30 stitches total
6th round: ch 2 (dc 2 times in first stitch, dc 4) repeat (2 dc, dc 4) slip stitch to finish round, 36 total stitches
7th round: ch 2 (dc 2 times in first stitch, dc 5) repeat (2 dc, dc 5) slip stitch to finish round, 42 stitches total
8th round: ch 2 (dc 2 times in first stitch, dc 6) repeat (2 dc, dc 6) slip stitch to finish round, 48 stitches
9th round: ch 2, dc in each space around, slip stitch to finish round. Repeat until desired hat size, mine was 7.5 inches
SC Border: ch 1, sc in each space around the hat for 2 rows. slip stitch and tie off. Weave in ends.
